B Lab Europe
B Lab Europe, established in 2013, has led the growth of B Corps across the continent. Today, there are over 2,100 certified B Corps in the EU and 79,000+ users of the B Impact Assessment. The team works with certified B Corps, country partners, and the wider B Lab network to coordinate strategy and operations across the region.
Overview
The Operations Department at B Lab Europe supports the organisation’s mission by keeping internal operations running smoothly. It manages finance, HR, legal, IT, and office administration, while improving organisational efficiency by process design, innovation, insights, and resource allocation. The department also helps shape strategy and ensures compliance.
This role is responsible for managing critical phases of the employee lifecycle across various European teams, with a strong focus on equitable recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding. The Senior People & Culture Coordinator (maternity cover) will play a key role in supporting B Lab Europe’s in its scaling up phase by maintaining robust core processes while also leading and contributing to cross‑functional projects that strengthen our ways of working and organisational effectiveness. They will act as a trusted partner to managers across Europe, ensuring that our recruitment and people practices are fair, transparent, and aligned with B Lab Europe’s mission and JEDI commitments.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Equitable recruitment and Onboarding (30%)Recruitment Process: Lead and own the recruitment process, ensuring seamless coordination of hiring strategy, set up of the offer and distribution in relevant channels, candidate selection, interviews, and onboarding.
Onboarding Management: Ensures new employees sign up for the appropriate benefits sharing explanations and that all employee information is accurately maintained in systems like Personio, Google Drive and Sana.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and ensure timely signing of employment contracts based on existing templates, maintaining records in Personio.
Process Management: Collaborate with the Head of P&C and team members to maintain processes and elevate the candidate experience.
Policy Management: Supports the creation of B Lab Europe P&C policies in various employment locations.
Support Coordination: Answers questions about benefits in collaboration with the Head of P&C, helping to filter requests depending on the type.
Knowledge Management: Makes sure that all the information is updated and documented in Google Drive and Sana
Benefit Administration: Support the administration of benefits in the various countries following local legislation.
Benefit Review: Supports the Head of P&C in the annual review of benefits and drafting new adaptation for countries that require it
Performance Review Management (10%):
Performance Management: Own and iterate the standardised performance assessment process for all CPs in Personio, ensuring clarity of principles, timelines and tools, and that managers feel equipped to apply it consistently.
Employee Training: Supports the Head of P&C in training employees on the performance review process and how to develop a collective growing culture of improvement, both to set up new countries and for the existing ones.
Development Knowledge Base: Supports on formalising the templates and training catalogs to provide employees information on how to navigate their own development
Ways of working (10%):
Core Values: Supports the Head of P&C in building core values & organisational principles for teams across Europe
Process Design: Enrich documentation and processes in place to bring the ways of working into life
Offboarding (10%):
Offboarding: Runs the operational process ensuring seamless coordination, updating of all necessary systems and feedback integration.
Organisational transformation (20%):
Change Management: Supports setting up and managing the change in the network as it keeps on evolving
Cross-Country Integration: Support integration of new country teams into B Lab Europe processes, ways of working and P&C practices, in close collaboration with Operations and Finance.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles based on the audience
Strong stakeholder management and employee support skills, with the ability to guide managers and employees through HR processes
Experience in running fair and equitable recruitment processes with a strong JEDI lens is highly valued
Strong organisational and structuring skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Project management, from planning to execution, with the ability to manage timelines and stakeholders effectively.
Experience with HR software tools (e.g., Personio, BeApplied, and as nice-to-have Oyster, Deel etc.)
Deep understanding of end to end employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
Understanding of labor laws and HR best practices in Europe where B Lab Europe.

What we offer:
The salary for this role is €51,000 per year (including holiday allowance), adjusted based on the location of work and applicable benefits.
