Social Media and Crowdfunding Campaign Manager
Strange Field
- Closing: 11:55pm, 29th Apr 2026 BST
Job Description
Strange Field is a contemporary arts organisation based in Glasgow's East End, operating across two venues: The Pipe Factory on Moncur Street and French Street. We produce and deliver a year-round programme of visual art, artist residencies, creative learning and self-directed creative practice, alongside open workshops and community projects.
We're about to embark on an exciting new chapter as The Pipe Factory completes its £4 million renovation at the end of 2026. In July 2026, we're launching a crowdfunding campaign to secure the building's future as genuinely affordable creative infrastructure. The funds raised will reduce financial pressures on the building, allowing us to prioritise accessible space for artists and community activity over commercial imperatives from the moment we reopen. We need a creative, strategic communications professional to help us tell this story and build momentum for our campaign.
Running alongside the crowdfunding campaign is "From Land's End to Common Ground" - a 1,000-mile cycling research journey visiting community-owned cultural venues across Britain. This project will generate compelling content aligning Strange Field's work to the wider movement for cultural autonomy and community agency through community ownership.
