We are MHCLG

Here at the Ministry of Housing and Local Communities (MHCLG), we work on things that make a real difference to people’s lives.   Whether it's through the homes we live in, the work of our local councils, or the communities we’re all a part of, our work is at the top of the political agenda. We have ambitious and far-reaching outcomes to achieve this year and, if you’re thinking of joining us, there’s never been a more exciting time. We have circa 3,500 staff who are based in 20 offices across the UK.

The Technical Architecture team manages AWS and Azure platforms, delivering shared cloud services and working closely with delivery and project teams to provide access, standards, tooling, guidance and governance for secure, cloud-first digital services.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead a portfolio of architecture and platform-related products or services used across the organisation. These include architectural standards, reusable patterns, cloud guardrails, governance services and other shared capabilities that help teams build and run services efficiently and in line with departmental standards. The role also covers new services and requests being designed and delivered by Platform teams for wider departmental use. This is a senior role with real influence over delivery across the organisation. You will work across complex technical environments, helping to reduce duplication, improve consistency and enable teams to deliver high quality services more quickly and securely.

You will work closely with Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Platform teams and delivery teams to set direction, agree priorities and drive continuous improvement. You will be accountable for making sure the products in your portfolio meet user needs, align with organisational priorities and deliver clear, measurable outcomes.
