Here's a taste of what you'll do:

• Conduct original research and analysis on wellbeing approaches to government decision-making

• Support policy engagement activities, such as roundtables and other convening events.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across CPD.

• Support network building with stakeholders, identifying and engaging key stakeholders across our programs.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience or expertise in wellbeing approaches to policy, government and economics, or people and place centred approaches to social service policy and delivery, gained through work or study. First-hand experience of policymaking is desirable but not essential. We are most interested in your passion for this topic, creativity of thought, and an ability to grapple with complex concepts and communicate them well.

You’ll be the right person for the job if:

• you have experience or expertise in wellbeing approaches to policy; economics; and/or people and place centred approaches to social service policy and delivery 

• you can write concisely and clearly

• you have a thoughtful approach to policy analysis and an ability to communicate new insights about how governments operate

• you have the ability to take the initiative when faced with a blank page; developing new projects, methodologies, and ideas

• you understand the general economic and social policy context in Australia

• you're able to work at pace on several different projects at once
