Production Engineer
This is a full-time position in our Denver office and will report directly to the Manager, Production & Facilities Engineering. This role will collaborate with the workover supervisor and production engineers to maintain over 400 oil wells in Montana, North Dakota and Colorado. Responsibilities will include well servicing, evaluation of downhole production equipment, analysis of failure mechanism & frequency, chemical program management, cost tracking and supporting the coordination of workover rigs & consultants. We are looking for a motivated, team-oriented, energetic production engineer who is looking to build on their current experience and join the Enerplus team!
Experience / Skills / Responsibilities
· University degree in Engineering (Petroleum Engineering degree preferred)
· 1+ years production engineering / field operations / rig supervision experience
· Working knowledge of various artificial lift systems
· Proficient in pumping well diagnostic tools to evaluate workover results
· Focus on safety culture and performance
· Provide scope definition, benchmarking, designing, planning, estimating and workover programming on a variety of well types
· Identify and test new technologies or procedures to improve failure frequency
· Manage chemical program implementation and evaluation
· Review, forecast and justify operating expenses.
· Provide production engineering assistance as necessary
