Job Description
The post holder will be responsible for delivering philanthropic income, including: producing donor materials (in conjunction with the communications team); creating prospect lists and acquisition plans for major gifts from philanthropists, corporates, trusts and foundations; applying for grants; stewarding major donors. The post holder will also be responsible for achieving their own income targets and objectives, and providing ongoing evaluation reports against agreed milestones and KPIs, as well as ensuring compliance with fundraising best practice at all times in accordance with the Fundraising Regulator.
Main duties
Work with the charity’s fundraising and communications teams to oversee a major gifts portfolio by developing prospect lists, relationships and approaches across major donors, corporates, trusts and foundations.
Work in partnership with key consultants and departments across the NHS trust to ensure all opportunities are maximised and delivered on.
Provide the Senior Philanthropy Manager with regular progress reports against key milestones and KPIs.
Deliver bespoke fundraising events
Support the Director of Development and Senior Philanthropy Manager with the management of the charity’s committee members
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to overcome identified risk and potential underperformance in income generation.
Create effective cultivation and stewardship plans for relevant income streams.
Represent the charity externally at appropriate cultivation and fundraising events as agreed with the Senior Philanthropy Manager.
Contribute to overall strategic planning as required

General Duties
Maintain accurate records for stakeholders, including communication history, adhering to our data protection obligations and records management principles
Take an active part in department and whole charity team meetings, contributing agenda items and undertaking assigned actions as required
Take an active part in and collaborate with colleagues across the charity’s work, bringing your own experience and perspective so that we harness the value of our shared contributions
Participate in regular supervision, objective-setting/monitoring and actively engage in your own job-related development throughout the year
Champion the charity’s Code of Behaviour and act as a role model, ensuring that our safeguarding and other key policies and procedures are adhered to at all times so as to protect the people we work with and our reputation
