Summer Intern, Ebury Marketing

Penguin Random House UK

Location London
  • Closing: 12:00pm, 9th May 2017 BST

Job Description

If you’re the one always live-tweeting Mary Berry reaction gifs during Bake-Off, this is the internship for you.

Cookery is at the heart of our non-fiction publishing at Ebury and we publish a wide range of brands and authors, including: Eat Well For Less, River Café, Yotam Ottolenghi, Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley, and Rick Stein.

We’re looking for an intern to join our Marketing department, creating content for authors on our cookery list.

We aim to give you a great grounding in marketing, from learning what kind of shareable content resonates with the audience to working with a high-profile author to creating a social media strategy around a tie-in event such as a TV show. You’ll also understand how partnerships and sponsorships work, and gain experience promoting with relevant brands.

We’re looking for someone with a strong creative background, such as design or animation skills, and an interest in social media. You’ll be imaginative and interested in engaging and interacting with our audiences through creating dynamic and memorable shareable content, be that through photos, gifs or videos. Perhaps you’re thinking about a career in design or digital media. And, of course, we hope you like cookery.

Our summer internships are a set of 10-week placements starting 10 July 2017, with 8 positions across the business paid at London Living Wage, and you are welcome to apply to more than one. Please apply by Thursday 27 April.
