Job Description
Summary
Historic England is the public body that looks after England's historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people to understand, value, and care for them. This is an exciting time to join our dynamic Facilities Management team.
Are you looking for a fantastic opportunity to build a foundation in an exciting profession? As our new Facilities Assistant in Portsmouth, you will be responsible for providing day to day operational Facilities Management (FM) services to Historic England colleagues, tenants and visitors, ensuring our facilities are safe, clean, well-stocked, suitably maintained, well presented and comfortable at all times.
In this front facing customer-focused role, you will carry out reception and switchboard duties whilst ensuring meeting room bookings are administered efficiently and that rooms are neat, tidy and equipped as requested for each booking. You will sort and distribute incoming post, frank outgoing post and arrange couriers, carry out site inductions for colleagues and contractors and follow security protocol by issuing security passes to colleagues, visitors and contractors. You will be responsible for the monitoring of the health safety checks for contractors on site.
Who we are looking for:
Experience of working in a role which is customer focused.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Good time management
Problem solving skills
You will be qualified as a first aider and fire warden or have a willingness to train in these roles.
