Job Description

Job title: Supply Finance Costing Analyst  

Department: Finance

Reports to: Supply Chain and Procurement Business Partner

Salary: A competitive salary is available plus great company benefits 

Location: Flexible hybrid working, Farringdon & home with ad hoc visits to Kettering

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

The Role: 

We are looking for a Costing Analyst to join our Finance team. This is an amazing opportunity to work with the innovation and operational departments across the business, focusing on a number of new and exciting projects. Supporting through various stage and gates, all the way through to live launch and beyond. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ownership of master data for bill of materials (BOMs) ensuring all BOMs are up to date and aligned to Technical and Production specifications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with NPD and Innovation:

  • Attending NPD feasibility, stage and gate meetings.

  • Ownership of accurate product costings, ensuring data provided is correct and up to date.

  • Supporting with costings data for growth projects.

  • Update BOM’s in the ERP system (Sage200) ensuring accurate standard costs are maintained.

  • Support the implementation and controls for BOM change alongside the Technical team.

  • Post NPD launch reviews.

 

Supply Chain Team:

  • Working on Supply chain costs at month end and making sure accurate data is recorded for Logistics (Storage/Distribution/Trunking etc).

  • Support the Supply Chain and procurement Business Partner on ad hoc improvement projects.

 

Support the Finance Team:

  • Month end process including accruals and prepayments.

  • Review purchase order and supplier invoices resolving open PO queries.

  • Working closely with Central Finance to resolve outstanding invoice queries.

  • Working with Commercial Finance to ensure COGs data is provided accurately and ahead of stage and gate meetings.

  • Adhere to tight month end timelines.

 

Reporting: 

  • Support as required on labour reporting (short term requirement).

  • Support overhead and reporting for the LHQ site (short term requirement).

  • Help support asset transfers site to site.

  • Provide product costing analysis and own the version control of product costings.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Previous experience in an FMCG/manufacturing environment.

  • Experienced in detailed financial analysis, challenging and looking at the bigger picture with commercial acumen.

  • Product costing experience preferred.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems, SAGE essential.

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Part qualified or actively studying towards an accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
