Communications Manager

As a fast-growing advisory business, we are looking for a motivated professional to join our team as Communications Manager. We are looking for a tech-savvy and social media experienced individual with an understanding of the professional services market to drive our communication efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for native English-speaking professionals with at least three years of working experience in corporate communications, and who wish to join a growing startup with a global footprint. You will be responsible for driving content creation for various media channels and all external communications, including our website, social media channels, and external communications for partners.
You will gain hands-on experience in shaping our day-to-day communication practices, as well as coordinating the development of content and our communication strategy. For the right candidate, the role might be extended to cover also other business areas beyond communication, e.g. network management.

Main responsibilities:

  • Building Hyphen’s global brand.

  • Driving the creation of content for social media and establishing relationships with external media outlets.

  • Managing Hyphen’s website and social media accounts and establishing a presence on new channels.

  • Driving the creation of content based on the experiences and insights of a globally unique network of leading experts.

  • Supporting our Network Management team in outreaching to Hyphen’s experts.

  • Editing all Hyphen communication materials, including business presentations, news updates, and email communications when necessary. Creating graphics and other communication materials.

You will have: 

  • Interest to be part of a fast-growing startup.

  • Strategic ideas and the drive to build a globally recognisable brand.

  • The ability to write in a concise and clear manner for various audiences.

  • Three years of experience in corporate communications, preferably from a professional services company or a startup.

  • An extensive network of media contacts.

  • Proven editorial skills.

  • A strong understanding of social media, especially LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter.

  • Experience with search engine optimisation (SEO) – website performance, Google tools and analytics.

  • Experience with graphics tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign).

  • Experience in WordPress backend management.

  • A structured and pragmatic approach to working and solving problems.

  • An interest in the ‘future of work’ and changes to expertise-driven professional services.

  • The ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

  • You must also be a native English speaker. A good understanding of German would also be beneficial but is not essential.

We are looking at an immediate start date but can offer a lot of flexibility to the right candidate. The position is fully remote and calculated on a part-time basis (60% - 24 hours per week) with the possibility to transition to full-time (100% - 40 hours per week).
