Key Responsibilities

  • CDP Service Development – You will be responsible for the ongoing development, improvement and financial success of the CDP support services we deliver to clients. This will include but not be limited to process, product and material refinement for improved delivery and client outcomes. You will be responsible for maximizing the value, quality and profitability of the service provided.

  • Business Development – you will be responsible for the growth of the service, to include new clients and expanding scope of support with existing clients. You will support proposal development for potential clients and projects and represent Anthesis during interviews as the consultancy best positioned to support on CDP delivery. You will expand scopes of engagement with existing clients, helping them drive their sustainability agenda. You will support team development through competency building, training and mentoring.

  • Project Management – As the CDP Lead in our ESG Performance and Metrics Service Line, you will be expected to manage the delivery of CDP A List client engagements, targeted at improving ESG performance and disclosure. You will be responsible for these projects being on time, budget and schedule. You will be managing several projects and dedicated project teams at any one time. You will be expected to perform senior level review of client work products.

  • Client Management – You will lead and grow client relationships, managing client expectations and delivering on their ESG goals and objectives and acting as the primary point of contact. You will be responsible for delivering proposals that demonstrate an understanding of the client's business and creative scopes of work to achieve their goals. You will work to develop a trusted advisor relationship with all clients and focus relentlessly on helping them be successful in defining and achieving their sustainability goals.  

  • ESG Performance – You will be advising clients how to prioritize, evaluate and improve their ESG performance through strategic, programmatic and disclosure recommendations. This will include desktop research, internal and external stakeholder engagement, and the integration of advanced data analytics.  

  • Sustainability Disclosure & Reporting – You will be coaching clients on the evolving sustainability/ESG reporting landscape and supporting them in the development of meaningful public disclosure strategies that both tell their stories in an authentic way and optimize their scoring in various ESG standards, frameworks, and assessment platforms. You will support the client in gathering data and information and translating key sustainability messages into mediums for different target audiences (e.g., investor reporting frameworks, ESG rater and ranker platforms, customer surveys, employees, etc.). 

  • Creative Communication – You will need to be proficient and effective at communicating the client’s sustainability purpose, commitments, and performance, in a way that is credible and authentic, while balancing the technical requirements and the creative aspects of reporting.  

Key Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a sustainability practitioner, with experience leading a company’s ESG strategy and disclosures.

  • Experience developing a business strategy – cross functional leadership, ability to explain the TCFD framework, and best practice CSR reporting Ability to identify and articulate opportunities to improve ESG disclosure and performance. 

  • Proficiency in some of the following disclosures: CDP (Climate Change, Water Security, Forests), 

  • Proficiency in the following reporting standards or frameworks: Integrated Reporting, GRI, SASB, TCFD. 

  • Proficiency in S&P Global CSA (DJSI), EcoVadis, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, RepRisk, Glass Lewis, Refinitiv, an asset. 

  • Familiarity with existing and pending ESG disclosure requirements: SFDR, CSRD, ISSB, SEC, etc. 

  • Proven track record as a thought leader in ESG.

  • A personable and passionate individual that works well with teams.

  • Comfortable and confident liaising with key stakeholders across all levels of a business.  

  • An ability to manage a variety of projects at any one time.
