Job Description
External Secondment Opportunity – Head of Grants at Architectural Heritage Fund
Historic England is keen to support development in the sector, we are delighted to let you know that the Architectural Heritage Fund is looking to appoint to a 2 year role as Head of Grants role to manage AHF our grants programmes. The post is envisioned to be 0.8 FTE and remote working but with monthly visits to the London office. If you are keen to apply please speak to your line manager and apply via AFH website.
Salary
£55,000 pro-rata (0.8 FTE role: £44,000), plus 8% pension contributions
What you will be doing
Reporting to the Director of Programmes and Deputy CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the AHF’s core grant-funded programmes across the UK, including managing the four Development Managers for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, leading on assessment, monitoring and reporting against all grants awarded through these programmes, and participating in decision making around grant awards.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a candidate able to demonstrate a breadth and depth of experience across the principal duties of this post. A strong track record of leadership within the heritage, social enterprise or social investment sectors and clear, relevant experience managing a staff team as well as multi-funder programmes with diverse strands of activity and reporting lines, is essential. The candidate must be a team player, with excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and communication skills. They should have experience of collaborative working with external partners and a strategic approach to prioritising workloads and problem solving. Candidates must have strong numeric and financial skills, excellent attention to detail and be a confident user of common IT system Office packages. We are looking for someone who will become a leader in our organisation, who is passionate, target orientated and, in particular, committed to achieving beneficial social outcomes through heritage.
