Job Description

Job purpose

A key component of UK Anti-Doping’s 2021 - 2025 Strategic Plan is to secure the data capabilities, tools, and techniques that are required to further enhance our activities.

This role will work across our organisation supporting a range of projects and activities linked with our Anti-Doping programmes with a focus on Data Analytics.

Key result areas

· Contribute to the collection and analysis of data relating to core projects

· Assist with coordinating internal projects related to data analytics, covering operations such as testing, education and stakeholder engagement and ensuring that timelines and deliverables are met in a timely and effective manner

· Create and develop visualisations and reports to help communicate data insights to stakeholders, including senior management and external partners

· Contribute to internal cross-team workshops seeking to identify hypotheses that can be explored through analytics

· Collaborate with other team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency across multiple systems

· Conduct research on new techniques and technologies relating to data analytics that could be applied to Anti-Doping efforts

· Supporting the overall mission of the organisation by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform Anti-Doping policies and initiatives.

·  Data Visualisation: Build experience in creating effective data visualisations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders

· Sports knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of the sports industry, including the rules and regulations surrounding Anti-Doping.

· Communication: Develop strong communication skills through being involved in several cross-team projects sharing findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.

Person specification

 

Qualifications/experience/knowledge (must have)

•        Demonstrable analytical eye for detail

•        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•        Highly curious with a passion for understanding the ‘why’ behind trends

•        Strong planning, time management and organisational skills

•  Competent with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Ideally would have but not vital;

• Experience of working with data sets across a range of sources, using data visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI or Tableau)

•  Practical work or project experience involving use of data analysis methodologies to extract insights

Additional information

Working hours are 36 hours a week although flexibility is required in order to ensure core objectives are achieved. Some out-of-hours work, and occasional travel may be required.
