Job Description

We are seeking a determined and creative manager who loves all things community and events and is passionate about ending Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence.

This is a new hands on, practical role with scope to develop the charity and your skills. It's main purpose is to raise the profile of the charity, engage with the local community and stakeholders, identify and secure new sources of funding and support for the charity.

About the role

Engagement & Communications

  • To design and implement our communications and engagement strategy to raise awareness of Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence in the Vale of Glamorgan

  • To ensure that survivors voice is embedded within the charity and all of its activities

  • To design and deliver local fundraising events and activities to raise profile of Vale DAS within the local communities

  • To oversee Vale DAS's digital presence, including website, social media marketing, email campaigns and newsletters

  • Create compelling and informative content for marketing materials and campaigns

Fundraising & Relationships

  • Research and identify opportunities from foundations, government and other funding sources

  • Prepare persuasive grant and funding proposals, applications and tenders

  • To explore and implement new initiatives/services to encourage further partnership working and increase income for the charity

  • Implement a CRM system to streamline supporter management and optimize campaigns and communications

Team Player

  • Oversee the Women's Well-being function which includes engagement and survivor involvement, completing line management tasks as required

  • Be an ambassador for Vale Domestic Abuse Services

  • Is a excellent project manager, able to organise campaigns, events and fundraising activities

  • Can analyse data related to fundraising, marketing and campaign outcomes to help optimize strategies and inform decision making

  • Is a leader and a team player, communicating with teams, encouraging development and growth of colleagues and harnessing internal knowledge and expertise to deliver results
