Job Description

We are inviting applications for an intern to join our Communications team on a full-time, fixed-term contract starting on 07 September 2026 and finishing on 31st October 2027.

The Communications team plays a crucial role in supporting the IfG’s activities by helping us to share our research and recommendations with as wide an audience as possible.  Covering everything from marketing and digital content to events delivery and editorial oversight for our publications, the team works across the organisation, with all research teams, the partnerships and operations teams, and with senior management and leadership. They help sharpen our messages, build and maintain relations with key media outlets, and promote IfG content.

As a Communications Intern you will support the rest of the Communications team, particularly in its digital content functions but also in its events responsibilities. Main tasks will include:

  • Proof-reading, updating and uploading content to the IfG’s website.

  • Editing A/V content for use on social media.

  • Scheduling social media coverage of the IfG’s work.

  • Taking responsibility for media tracking and weekly media round-ups.

  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of events, including the IfG’s party conference programme.

For full details, including a person specification, please read the job application pack available on our website. We encourage all applicants to read the job pack before starting their application.
