Job Description

Are you a strategic communicator with a passion for climate action and global impact? We’re looking for a Communications Manager to help shape and share the voice of the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM).

In this role, you’ll lead the development and delivery of communications that support our mission to ensure high-integrity carbon markets that accelerate climate progress. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, technical experts, and external partners to collate relevant research and translate technical information into compelling messages, manage media relations, and deliver content across a range of channels.

 What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and implementing strategic communications plans that support ICVCM’s goals.

  • Managing proactive media engagement, working with an external PR agency on press releases, media materials, briefings and media enquiries.

  • Creating clear, engaging content for digital, print, events and social media platforms.

  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and helping to build our reputation globally.

  • Managing communications during high-profile or sensitive moments with professionalism and clarity.

What we’re looking for:
  • A proven track record (typically 3–5 years) in media relations, including press engagement and content creation.

  • Experience developing and delivering strategic communications in complex or international environments.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to conduct research, work with technical information and tailor messages for different audiences.

  • Understanding of carbon markets and key stakeholder groups.

  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external partners.

  • A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

If you’re excited by the opportunity to make a real difference in our work against climate change, we’d love to hear from you.
