Job Description

Role Purpose

1.       Responsibility for establishing clear marketing and communication plans for all existing and new SLQ products and services

2.       Responsibility and ownership of SLQ’s communications strategy and KPIs, delivering campaigns and activities that drive engagement growth

3.       An active Leadership Team member working to aid the annual implementation of strategies and programmes relating to business plans

4.       Work directly with colleagues, customers and partner networks to identify and develop growth opportunities

Main Duties

1.       Work alongside the Director of Engagement and Marketing to set and deliver Marketing & Communications Strategies

2.       Lead and inspire a departmental team including a Marketing & Communications Content Manager and Marketing & Communications Executive

3.       Be responsible for overseeing the direction, output and performance of our network of support agencies and suppliers

4.       Be responsible for employee engagement and internal communications as well as working with key internal stakeholders (Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Department, Sector Leads and Relationship Managers) to establish communications plans for specific work areas

5.       Develop and establish a consistent framework and clear communications plan for new and existing products/services

6.       Contribute to the organisations ongoing re-branding project and play an integral role in establishing subsequent implementation plans

7.       Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business so they understand our positioning and what our brand stands for

8.       Support and guide the content plan to identify the required internal and external materials, resources and assets that support engagement strategies

9.       Identify, frame and bring to life stories that bring our vision to life and strengthens the reputation of the organisation

10.   Deliver on agreed relationship management strategies with Centres and customer networks to encourage a retained, continuous and prolonged commitment to the delivery of our qualifications and awards

11.   Utilise insight and reporting systems to provide clear analysis relating to Marketing & Communications strategies and activities

12.   To support the recruitment and induction of new staff within the Marketing & Communications Team and other departments

13.   To carry out any other duties as requested to support the work of SLQ commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of the post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training
