Job Description
Please note that whilst we capture CVs as part of the application process, the initial sifting of applications occurs 'blind' and is based purely on the responses to the admin questions and sift questions. We are looking for a talented Freelance Video Editor to support our production team to produce high quality educational videos. We welcome applications from anyone who meets our criteria, but are particularly keen to receive applications from people with experience in video editing within an Education setting.
This opportunity is for a self-employed freelancer (sole trader, NOT a limited company or agency).

Scope
Overlaying slides to correct errors
Enhancing video and audio quality, including colour correction, sound mixing, and graphics integration
Cutting a section of video to improve flow and timing
Ensuring video content is consistent with branding guidelines
Adding attributions to copyrighted video or images
Exporting final files to the specified format
Meeting project deadlines and delivering completed videos within specified time frame
Knowledge, skills and experience
Previous video editing experience;
Skilled at using industry-standard software e.g. Adobe CC
Competent working with and adapting to a variety of technologies, including digital products - Oak is a tech-driven organisation, primarily using Google workspaces;
Excellent attention to detail
Have a high standard of English, including punctuation and grammar,
Able to work at pace.
Rate: £128 per day - some flexibility in hours and days may be available with a minimum of 16 hours required of the role.
Assignment period: October 2024 - July 2025
