Finance Business Partner – CCE North

This is an opportunity to provide analysis and financial reporting to Carey’s Northern business units.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, the Finance Business Partner drives the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance for all the business units, providing analysis and delivering insight linking financial report to business strategies.

The Finance Business Partner is aligned with our Northern business units, becoming a strong advisor to the leadership team and a valued and embedded part of the aligned business unit, building a strong partnership based upon trust, knowledge and a deep understanding of the challenges, strengths and opportunities of the business unit.

 

·       Aligned to the CCE North team, helping drive operational performance

·       Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across the business, challenging assumptions and decision making as appropriate

·       Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers

·       Partner with the Business unit to develop and deliver operational budgets

·       Lead the business unit in producing accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts

·       Manage working capital and cashflow for business unit

·       Report business unit financial results to stakeholders across the Group

·       Attend monthly operational management reviews, providing financial insight to project & business performance

·       Lead monthly forecasting / strategic reviews, streamlining reporting processes

·       Point of contact for tender and investment financial appraisals

·       Collaborate with wider Group function to help standardise processes a

·       Provide an integrated view on financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities and highlighting areas of risk and subsequent mitigations

·       Developing cost control and drive continuous improvements with business units

 

Person Specification

The Finance Business Partner will have a “completer-finisher’ mentality: taking personal accountability for delivery.  They will Initiate change by influencing with impact, not afraid to challenge the status quo.  The role requires someone who thinks strategically with strong analytical and commercial capability and who listens and proposes a variety of ways to respond to the challenge.  It is important the successful applicant seeks to understand through a collaborative and investigative approach with a natural bias for action and problem solving.

 

Experience Required

·       Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent

•        Advanced MS Office (Excel V Look Up and Pivot tables essential)

•        Experience in a Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance Manager role within a complex, matrix organisation (within Engineering, Manufacturing or Construction would be advantageous)

•        Solid experience in both financial accounting and management reporting

•        Strong working knowledge and understanding of management accounting and full spectrum of finance processes

•        Familiarity with COIN ERP system

•        Skilled communicator, confidently articulates problems and clearly defines solutions to complex financial issues to audiences at all levels within the Group
