About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Active Partnerships National Organisation to ensure that the charity can remain on track to make active lifestyles the norm for everyone.
The role is focused on supporting connectivity across the National Organisation and 43 Active Partnerships, enabling staff to work efficiently and effectively together. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in meeting our ambitions to be an outstanding organisation with a highly connected network of strong performing Active Partnerships.
Providing coordination, administration and support, with a focus on meetings and events, the role will involve building trusted relationships and working with a wide range of people, internally, network-wide and externally.
About You
The role is suited to a pro active, organised individual who thrives in an operational and people focused environment. Someone who is keen to learn and provide support across different areas of the organisation. A person who can help with managing processes, can prioritise workloads and is personable and enjoys building relationships.
You will be self-motivated and believe in the power of connectivity and the change it can bring.
Roles and Responsibilities
You will provide operational support to the organisation, focusing on internal and external meetings, training and events. Some of the key tasks will include:
•Setting up meetings, finding and booking venues, managing registration processes, uploading notes, recording and analysing participant data, and designing surveys.
•Managing information across the organisation. This will include membership lists, supporting digital platforms, helping to develop new ways to support partners, including tools, resources and user guides.
•Support colleagues to ensure that how we connect and convene is inclusive.
Skills and experience we would like you to have
•Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of an agile team to build relationships.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Good time management.
•Working in an inclusive and equitable way.
•Excellent IT skills (Office 365 – including excel PowerPoint, Forms and Teams).
•Highly competent using key online resources to support remote working e.g. Smartsheets, Zoom, Padlet, Slido, Mentimetre etc
•Event management support.
Further information
•£27,000 annual salary
•Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2027
•30 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
•Home based but option to be based in partners office if preferred.
•Successful applicant will occasionally be required to travel to different locations across England (at company's expense)
•6% employer pension contribution when you contribute 2%
