Role overview
This role is for somebody who can lead Public Digital’s engagements with clients, building strong working relationships with presidents and digital practitioners in national or regional governments. This is an opportunity to support teams trying to be world leaders in digital government, applying experience and expertise in product management and policymaking to have a huge impact. You’ll also play an important role in maintaining Public Digital’s rapid growth and global reputation.
You’ll:
Lead Public Digital client engagements, developing strong, trusting relationships with senior leaders.
Coach and advise digital product teams, identifying answers to blockers and helping them to anticipate and address challenges.
Build a comprehensive understanding of clients’ strategic direction, political context, operational/tactical issues and delivery goals.
Lead and coordinate Public Digital teams supporting client engagements, bringing together people from across different countries and specialisms.
Provide product management and policymaking advice to other Public Digital client engagements, contributing to workshop sessions, expert calls and team discussions.
Write blog posts or other articles on aspects of digital transformation, attend and speak at public events as a representative of Public Digital.
Contribute to the corporate life and growth of Public Digital as a values-led business.
Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and following up leads.
Provide support when needed on operations, partnerships, and attracting and hiring new expertise.
You’ll have:
Worked closely with ministers and/or very senior public officials, with experience of becoming a trusted advisor and clear communicator at high levels of government.
A track record of successfully leading agile multidisciplinary teams working in complex organisations to deliver digital services that are focused on meeting user needs.
Engaged with - or made public contributions to - new thinking or research around digital development or organisational change. This might have been through blog posts, meet-ups, conference talks, articles or other media.
Recognition as an informed voice (or expert) in a digital government related field by peers
The ability to write clearly and concisely - including about technical concepts - to a publishable standard.
Desirable
Professional fluency in French and/or Spanish in addition to English

Interview process
There will be two rounds:
Phone interviews - week commencing 1st December
One in-person panel interview at the Public Digital office, and one coffee chat with a peer - week commencing 9th December
