Job Description

Project Description:

  • SPiN (Space Products and Innovation) aims to create a simple and codeless way to instruct and simulate satellites for both commercial customers and as an

    educational ‘hands on’ visualisation tool. This process requires a translation step between the C++ coding language of the MA61C adapter and the Front End

    visualisation of the drag and drop programming language.

Applicant Specification:

  • We are looking for a motivated and creative candidate to work on this one of a kind mix of onboard components and software innovation. The candidate will be

    exposed to several third party onboard components with different functions and capabilities and will find a framework that can adapt to their different

    requirements within a single GUI language.

    The candidate will learn to work as part of a diverse team with a wide range of technical capabilities, as well as deliver a clear and actionable set of solutions that

    are ready for implementation.

Minimum requirements:

  • Passion and enthusiasm

  • A knowledge of software design

  • An understanding of C++ programing language

  • A knowledge of Front End development languages.

Process details:

  • 8 weeks minimum fixed term contract to be agreed with successful candidate

  • In-person Induction Event to be held on [date], and an in-person/hybrid Showcase Event to be held at the [place/date]

  • 5 days holiday to be taken during the placement
