Now more than ever, we’re seeing traditional businesses venture into the startup space – whether that is for innovation, upskilling, venture capital or just good ol’ CSR. But it’s not always easy, and we’ve seen a huge opportunity to help bridge the gap between corporate and startup.
And so we’re looking for an incredible person to join our growing team to own, build and deliver our corporate offering to help grow our startup ecosystem.
So…this isn’t legal and/or accounting?
Correct-o! Our team is made up of more than just lawyers and accountants. We also focus on helping future entrepreneurs, startups and their supporters level up through education.
We run one-to-one and one-to-many sessions, workshops, and events that leverage our commercial knowledge from working with 1000s of startups, investors and service providers. We know what best practice in the wild looks like, and we are building the future of entrepreneurial learning and consulting for schools, unis, corporates and startups.
Our team will often work with with the broader team (e.g. lawyers and accountants) when we need expert knowledge to help deliver on any sessions, programs or discrete tasks.
The Role
In the past few years, we’ve noticed a growing trend of corporates and large businesses engaging with the startup ecosystem for a range of reasons, including. There is a huge, untapped potential to help bridge the gap between large institutions and the startup ecosystem, and with the right person, we want to double down on our recent success in this space.
This role is perfect for somebody who wants to take the next step in their career to build on their existing skills and broaden their horizon to help grow an emerging offering that has the potential to be truly impactful. For us, impact means truly moving the needle to grow the local ecosystem and changing the way that startups collaborate with big business now and into the future. This could be through education programs, workshops and consulting specifically focussed on best practice from our industry in startups, innovation and venture.
For this role, you will work closely with Josh Sharma - Head of Labs to develop and deliver key strategic initiatives. You will lead the day-to-day operations and execution under this role.
The day-to-day role relies on the experience of the candidate and will vary based on your seniority.

You should keep reading if you:
are based in Melbourne;
have experience or a strong interest in working in the startup world and venture capital, and working in a fast-paced, ever changing environment excites you;
have at least 3 years of professional experience;
have experience servicing, or working for, a range of corporate clients, including listed, unlisted and/or schools and universities
Essential skills - you should apply if you:
are an excellent written and verbal communicator;
enjoy problem solving and designing bespoke solutions through the lens of education design and delivery, workshops or consulting;
are incredible at building and managing long term, value-adding relationships;
have great attention to detail and organisational skills;
are interested in developing cutting edge education and consulting services specifically tailored towards corporates and universities to help them grow and succeed.
It would be an added bonus if you have any of the following in your toolkit:
common issues facing growing businesses and the startup ecosystem;
have experience servicing or working with scalable startups; or
have experience in education design;
have experience in facilitation;
have experience in leading sales strategies to service more customers

Flexible Working: in 2020 the world changed a little bit and so did our working style, we are a hybrid team and committed to it going forward - mixing remote working with incredible in person experiences. While we are mainly based in Melb and Syd, our team is spread out across Aus, from Byron Bay (yes we have an office in Byron!) to Perth, we make it work.
