Location: Hybrid with travel to London monthly, and for team meetings as required.

That’s nearly a third of all adults in the UK.

We are Fair4All Finance. We are a not-for-profit organisation working with Financial Services providers to improve the financial wellbeing of people in vulnerable circumstances by increasing access to fair, affordable and appropriate financial products and services.

We are continuing our work following our latest round of funding, and as a result we are now seeking a Compliance Officer who will play a crucial role in ensuring Fair4All Finance operates within regulatory frameworks by conducting compliance checks on potential investees, grantees, and suppliers.

This includes Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and subsidy control assessments. The role will support the onboarding of investees and suppliers, contributing to risk management and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliance checks including KYC, AML, and subsidy control for investees, suppliers, and grantees.

  • Maintain compliance records and support governance around contract execution.

  • Assist in refining compliance processes to strengthen risk management and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to build compliance awareness across the organisation.

  • Support the setup of compliant supplier panels and ensure effective procurement and payment processes.

  • Communicate professionally with external partners regarding compliance documentation and onboarding requirements.

    Essential experience & qualifications:

  • Knowledge or hands-on experience in compliance, risk management, or similar operational functions.

  • Understanding of KYC and AML requirements.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Confidence working collaboratively with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • A proactive approach to improving systems and processes.

    Desirable experience & qualifications:

  • Previous experience in not-for-profit, finance, or regulatory settings.

  • Familiarity with subsidy control and supplier governance.

  • Involvement in developing templates, training materials, or process guidance.

  • Experience in setting up or managing procurement or supplier frameworks.

Founded in 2019, we are funded from the Dormant Assets Scheme. The scheme is led by the financial industry and backed by the UK government. This makes it possible for money in dormant bank and building society accounts to be used to help good causes.
