Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our National Projects Manager (Income Generation).
This is a part time (0.5 FTE), 2 year fixed-term contract.
The salary for the role is £40,778 pro-rata (national), £43,903 pro-rata (Greater London)
The location of this role is either York, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cambridge, Swindon, Bristol or Portsmouth, inclusive with hybrid working.

What you will be doing
As a key member of the Portfolio Development and Delivery Team (Portfolio), you will be responsible for managing the delivery of Historic England’s Income Generation Portfolio, working closely with the Portfolio’s Senior Responsible Officer and Board. You will also manage projects and initiatives as part of Historic England’s Income Generation Strategy, working closely with the Philanthropy and Income Development department, external collaborators and partners and a range of colleagues across Historic England. This role may involve some line management responsibility.
Who we are looking for
A confident and highly effective project manager, supported with a relevant project management qualification (PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, Agile or equivalent) and proven experience of working with and/ or supporting governance boards.
The successful candidate will bring demonstrable project management and delivery experience, preferably in commercial and/or business development on income generation initiatives.
They will be equipped with excellent communication skills, including the ability to analyse information and present it verbally and in writing, clearly and concisely, along with the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners and manage multi-disciplinary project teams.
