Job Description
Responsible for the raising and management of grant funding globally at PRI to help achieve the strategic aims.
The role reports into the Director of Finance but will work closely with a number of PRI teams, particularly those responsible for PRI’s investor initiatives, sustainable systems and ESG issues work.
The role would suit an experienced fundraiser with the networks and ability to represent the PRI with global grant-makers.
Core Responsibilities:
Collaborate with PRI colleagues to identify opportunities for grant funding to advance and align with PRI’s strategic aims.
Develop relationships with grant-makers based in the US, China, Europe and in other markets and build understanding of the PRI strategy and plans.
Develop compelling funding proposals, targeting funders with aligned programmes and objectives.
Work with PRI teams to optimise and formalise grant funding strategy and operational processes, including, governance, reporting, planning and budgeting processes.
Review and amend grant agreements where necessary.
Advise and support PRI colleagues who are responsible for delivery of grant funded programmes.
Support the Director of Finance in delivering against the team’s business plan and budget and work effectively with Finance colleagues to manage cashflow and performance against Budget
Provide regular reporting to the Director of Finance and Chief Operating Officer as required
Person Specification
Demonstrable success in developing and delivering grant fundraising strategies and in converting opportunities into substantial multi-year grants.
Strong networking skills and funder cultivation experience, with an extensive network of relationships with grant making bodies, which have programmes and objectives aligned with responsible investment and ESG issues, including climate, nature and human rights.
Excellent written and oral presentation skills; comfortable presenting to potential donors and senior management and writing compelling and successful funding applications
Management of operational and financial grant requirements
Knowledge of, or experience in, responsible investment and/or ESG issues
Project management skills with demonstrable experience of leading successful funding projects, from inception to bidding to completion of grant funding.
