Job Description
The Premier League believes that a diverse workforce is vital to driving business performance. They are committed to improving access to opportunities and career progression for everyone across football.
They are delighted to launch their Season 2024/25 Internship Programme, aiming to develop and prepare individuals for a future career in football. There are five places available in the cohort, with each Intern assigned to a department for an 11-month period where you will learn and develop your skillset across that function. The departments for candidates to apply to are: Policy & Corporate Affairs, Commercial, Finance, Football Development and Football Operations. Your department will depend on your current skillset and interests, which we will explore with you at application and interview stage.
The Policy and Corporate Affairs department’s broad remit covers: Policy; Public Affairs; Fan Engagement; Safety and Security; Corporate Purpose; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI); Sustainability, International Football Relations and EU Affairs; as well as the Premier League’s support for Wider Football and Communities.
The team works closely with other departments across the business on a number of workstreams, for example to develop and promote awareness among key stakeholders and decision makers of the positive work, influence and impact of the Premier League. This encompasses economic, social and soft power impact, as well as the League’s public purpose investments - not least, the Premier League’s unparalleled contribution to the wider football pyramid and support for communities.
The Role:
As a Policy and Corporate Affairs Intern, you'll be:
Providing support across the Community, EDI, Sustainability, and Supporter Engagement teams. Responsibilities will include meeting arrangements, preparing agendas, presentations, and documents
Supporting data analysis and presentation skills to better demonstrate the impact of the Premier League’s proactive work
Supporting event delivery, including both pre-event planning and onsite operations
Liaising with the Communications team to ensure positive publicity for events and initiatives. This will contribute to the department and business priorities of contributing to the enhanced visibility of our work off the pitch
Working on a variety of projects with internal staff, agencies, and key stakeholders across football, gaining insight into a Policy environment

The Package:
Annual salary of £26,000
70/20/10 learning structure where 70% of learning is done on the job, 20% from coaching and mentoring, and 10% from formal training
