Job Description

NOLS is celebrating 60 years of wilderness education and leadership in 2025! We are seeking a seasonal Alumni Events Coordinator to help plan, organize, and bring to life a 3-day celebration in Lander, Wyoming this September. This role is part of the Advancement team and is a great opportunity for someone passionate about community-building, event logistics, and the mission of NOLS.

This position is ideal for someone based in or near Lander who wants hands-on experience in nonprofit event coordination and alumni relations. You'll work closely with staff across the school to execute a memorable anniversary event, build relationships with NOLS alumni, and contribute to the legacy of the organization. This is a seasonal position running from May through October 2025.

What does an Alumni Events Coordinator do?

  • Support planning and execution of NOLS’ 60th Anniversary Celebration in Lander, WY

  • Assist with event logistics, including scheduling, vendors, and on-site coordination

  • Collaborate with Advancement and Marketing on communications and outreach

  • Help manage guest registration, alumni lists, and customer service inquiries

  • Coordinate volunteers and staffing for the event weekend

  • Participate in meetings with departments across NOLS to align event goals

  • Assist in gathering alumni stories and photos for use in event displays

  • Support post-event communications and gratitude efforts

  • Contribute to organizing commemorative items and alumni takeaways

  • Provide general administrative and planning support to the Advancement team and 60th Anniversary Planning Committee
