Job Description
The Centre for Public Impact (CPI) is a global non-profit, launched by The Boston Consulting Group, that helps governments and their partners turn ideas into impact.
The newly launched CPI team in North America works to advance innovative, actionable solutions that lead to better outcomes for citizens. We do this by being:
- a place where leaders and influencers come together to share insights
- a trusted expert voice and source of insight on public impact themes
- a source of practical tools and advice on how to deliver outcomes for citizens
- a partner to organizations seeking to drive public impact and social innovation
We are currently building out our programmatic agenda in the areas of city innovation, government legitimacy (helping governments restore relationships with residents) and economic mobility. The Program Associate will play a key role in driving our work in one of these areas.
Roles and responsibilities:Program management and execution
- In coordination with CPI Program Manager(s), support the day-to-day execution of CPI programs and initiatives, including logistical coordination and program management
- Conduct research and analysis related to a particular program initiative and deliver insights on how to achieve greater public impact
- Articulate these insights effectively in written and verbal communications, including in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Manage external partners and stakeholders critical to ensuring effective operations and expanding CPI’s influence
Thought leadership and insight development
- Take program-related learnings to find platforms to disseminate lessons learned and leading practices to a wider audience
- Develop online content that reflects our thought leadership in our programmatic areas
- Support efforts to ensure CPI North America remains at the cutting-edge
Partnerships and commercial development
- Support the development and implementation of strategic partnerships that enable CPI to better achieve its mission, building on program learnings and relationships
- At least 2 years relevant professional experience, ideally in a strategy consulting environment to BCG Associate-level or equivalent
- University degree with demonstrated high academic achievement in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, economics, government, social entrepreneurship or similar)
- Demonstrable knowledge of and passion for the public and social sector, relevant work experience in government, international organizations and/or think tanks ideally with experience interacting with senior stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage all levels of seniority
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills (excellent English a prerequisite) to present complex topics to a senior-level audience
- Proven organizational skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple parallel tasks
- Self-awareness and openness to feedback and continuous learning
