Interested in joining our team? We are hiring for a Senior Evaluations Engineer to work within our Business Development organization. This position will be based in Calgary, Alberta and report to the Team Lead, Evaluations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
Build and maintain full cycle upstream economic models to support acquisitions, divestments and benchmarking
Model inputs for production forecasting, commercial analysis, quantifying upside, development schedules and risks
Refine model inputs with internal subject experts in Land, Marketing, Operations, Planning and Finance
Present M&A opportunities to senior leadership
Assist with benchmarking opportunities to understand their relative merits
Assist with regional reviews to understand key success indicators and rank opportunities
Help screen opportunities to quickly understand their potential and priority
We are looking for someone that enjoys complex problem solving and has a recommendation-oriented mindset in a dynamic and high impact work environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working under tight deadlines on critical projects, using their prior experience as a reserves evaluator, analyst or exploitation/development engineer to support their approach. Critical skills include decline analysis, type curve construction, commercial analysis, risk analysis, and economic forecasting. It is essential for candidates to be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Value Navigator, and GeoScout, while experience with Aries, Enersight, Tableau, and Harmony would also be beneficial.
