Job Description

We are the property industry’s charity working to end youth homelessness in the UK. We bring remarkable businesses and individuals from across the sector together to support charities delivering life-changing services for young people who are or have been homeless, or who are at risk of homelessness in the future.

We have an amazing opportunity for a Strategic Partnerships Officer to support the work of the charity’s most significant partner, StreetSmart.

This exciting new role will work with both StreetSmart and the organisation, further strengthening the partnership by recruiting and engaging hospitality venues to take part in the 2023 campaign.

StreetSmart is the £1 on the bill initiative, which takes place in restaurants and hotels across the country every November and December. The campaign has been running for 25 years and has raised some £20m for charity since inception.

This role will also support the retention of current supporters / participants, communicating where the funds have been invested in the local area and aiding understanding of the campaign’s impact. You’ll engage and steward both current and new participants to support the campaign through sharing impactful case studies of the young lives transformed, and project visits for restaurant / hotel teams to see first-hand where their funds have made a difference in their local community.

 Your principle responsibilities include:

·       Business development

·       Ensure retention of current StreetSmart supporters and participants

·       Ensure outstanding stewardship of supporting venues, supporters, chefs, groups and media partners

·       Engage senior professionals across the hospitality sector

·       Work with Regional Boards and National Development Team to engage venues on a regional basis

·       Support both StreetSmart and the charity’s comms departments to collect, collate and communicate case studies to demonstrate the impact of the campaign

·       Support the database – Creating mailing lists etc.

·       Support logistics of the campaign

·       Support with the distribution of  funds

A knowledge and understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility or Environmental, Social and Governance from either a charity or corporate perspective would be an advantage. Or if you have a background or understanding of the Hospitality, Leisure of the F+B sector, then we’d love to hear from you!
