level= is delighted to be supporting Brentford Football Club in their search for an enthusiastic Insights Executive for their office in West London.

The Role of Insights Executive:

The Insights Executive will be tasked with making sure that the Insights department gets the right data at the right time and helping to expand the range of reporting support the department currently handles.

This role would suit someone with a passion for research, an interest in the way that the business of sport works, exceptional attention to detail, and who is keen to understand and interpret a wide range of data including social media and TV reach figures to fan survey results. 

The successful candidate will support across all insights projects, ranging from end-to-end support for the Partnerships (sponsorships) sales team, using retail data to optimise stocking and gaining insights from fan surveys through to helping to evaluate the Club’s effectiveness on social media.

Insights Executive Main Accountabilities:

  • Helping to maintain and enhance the Club’s internal market research resources

  • Undertake market research and analysis to identify trends and business development opportunities for the Partnerships’ team including researching target brands, their marketing strategies and financial information

  • Evaluating internal and external data to support the creation of Partnership sales marketing materials and insights reporting for pre-existing partners

  • Support the wider Marketing Services department through campaign reporting and ticketing analysis

  • Work with the content team on social media reporting across all major platforms

  • Construction and analysis of club surveys and survey responses

  • Support the production of monthly retail and ecommerce reports

Insights Executive Person Specification:

  • The ability to create compelling stories and insights using a wide range of data and sources

  • A background in desk research

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Proven written skills

  • The ability to use numbers to back up results

  • Interest in how the wider business side of sport works, not only an interest in football

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • A good baseline understanding of multiple social media platforms

  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables) and comfortable analysing numbers

  • Survey writing, construction and analysis

  • An understanding of social media and Google Analytics data and performance metrics

  • A background working in sport is not necessary
