Job Description

About the PRI

The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions.

The PRI’s three distinct capabilities relate to the core elements of the PRI’s approach to achieving a sustainable financial system.

  • Translate RI (Responsible Investment) thought leadership into insights and practical support that is tailored to what signatories need to progress their RI practice

  • Convene our vast network to create opportunities for collaborative action

  • Harness our global scale to influence policymakers and regulators to effect system change

Job Description

The Stakeholder services team sits within the Operations team, and is responsible for ensuring that our signatories and other stakeholders are supported across our global signatory base, and connected with the right resources to develop their responsible investment practice.

The primary responsibilities of this role will be customer support for our signatories (primarily email), with a focus on signatory queries through their reporting period. Outside of the main reporting period, additional responsibilities will include supporting the development of our Responsible Investment Ecosystems through help planning and executing events, supporting the translation of some key communications, and ensuring signatories are up to date with their administrative requirements (i.e. invoice payment)

We have always had an international presence, and as our signatories have become more diverse globally, we are now looking to develop our services to include more robust support in local languages. This role will be required to provide professional level business support in both English and Japanese. In addition to language skills, this role requires someone with some knowledge of financial markets or membership organisations, and an eye for detail, who is proactive, with excellent communication skills and who can build and maintain strong relationships within the team and across the organisation.

Core Responsibilities

  • 60-70% of role: Respond to signatory & stakeholder queries through the PRI’s central email system, liaising internally as needed to provide an excellent experience, in line with our internal SLAs.

  • Become an expert in the PRI’s reporting framework and its application (including the reporting portal and data portal), in order to be able to support signatories and be an internal point of contact for questions.

  • Ensure signatory data is correct in line with internal processes and SLAs, support signatories in updating their information in the CRM, and follow up with signatories to update key account information as required. Monitor and resolve issues with inaccurate signatory data.

  • Support the administration of signatory accounts including invoice payment reminders, and other compliance follow-up communications.

  • Support the delivery of other key resources and events as appropriate, which may include translating/proofing key communications and organising mailouts, liaising internally and externally to source local venues, catering, printing, etc, as well as in-person support for local events,

  • Deliver presentations to potential and new signatories on the work of the PRI.

  • Deliver presentations and training internally on the work of Stakeholder Services.

  • Support the Director of Stakeholder Services in delivering against the team’s business plan and budget.

  • Provide regular reporting to the Director of Stakeholder Services, Senior Director of Marketing & Signatory Experience, and Chief Operating Officer as required.

Person Specification

  • Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills in both English and Japanese

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: financial markets, investment organisation structures, reporting schemes or membership organisations - relevant degree or experience

  • Excellent networking, relationship management and interpersonal skills and experience of building strong and productive relationships

  • IT/Digital skills – Strong Microsoft Office skills, CRM (salesforce in particular) would be an advantage

  • A keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to record keeping

  • As this is a global role, international travel may be required

We particularly welcome candidates from under-represented groups, including Black, Asian, and other People of Colour, those with visible or non-visible disabilities, LGBTQ+ candidates and those who are neurodivergent.

The PRI is committed to offering flexibility to our employees, both formal (e.g. part-time work) and informal (e.g. a shift in hours to accommodate caring responsibilities). Please talk to us about how we could make this role flexible for you.

N.B. We reserve the right to close a vacancy before the closing date in the event of an overwhelming response or a change in business priorities.
