Job Description

Role Title: Conduct in Sport Manager

Main Purpose:

Responsible for managing the CS Disciplinary, Complaints and Anti-Doping processes and policies

Responsible to:

Head of Operations & Commercial

Direct Reports:

Liaison with Conduct in Sport Panel members

Office:

National Cricket Academy, MES Sports Centre, Edinburgh, EH4 3NT

Hours:

22.5 hours per week

Outline of Role:

The role holder will:

  • Manage the Cricket Scotland Code of Conduct policy including the on and off field disciplinary process.

  • Manage the complaints process and investigate complaints where appropriate in liaison with the CEO.

  • Lead on UKAD Anti-Doping training and policies

  • Support the National CWPO with low level safeguarding incidents.

1 Discipline

·      To coordinate and administer the requirements for the disciplinary processes within domestic and regional cricket within Scotland

·      To assist with the investigation of all on- and off-field disciplinary and misconduct reports and issue sanctions.

·      To co-ordinate and be responsible for arranging and administering correspondence and personal hearings and appeals

·      To provide up to date advice to clubs and regional associations on all aspects of discipline and be the first point of contact regarding discipline queries.

·      To support in ensuring that all club leagues, tournaments and competitions are sanctioned in accordance with CS Code of Conduct

·      To coordinate and fully administrate any appeals made by a club in relation to a decision made by a disciplinary panel

·      To work in partnership with the National CWPO in relation to disciplinary cases where safeguarding concerns are raised.

2 Complaints

·      To respond to, investigate and administer complaints received to Cricket Scotland via the CS Complaints procedure

·      To liaise with and advise the CEO in regards to the complaints process as appropriate

3 Anti-doping

·      To act as the Cricket Scotland lead in regards to UKAD Framework compliance

·      To ensure the CS Anti-doping policy and process is delivered across High Performance, Pathway and Domestic cricket as appropriate

·      To support Operations and High Performance in delivering educational training to Pathway and High Performance squads

·      To act as a liaison point with the ICC on and Anti-doping matters

4 CISP

·      Engage regularly and maintain relationships with Conduct in Sport Panel members

·      Assist in future recruitment of panel members as appropriate

5 General

·      Perform any reasonable task as requested by the CEO or Head of Operations and Commercial
