About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a bank community midwife to join our friendly, established community health team. We are a busy service with a diverse caseload working with service families and children in Brunei.
We are looking for a confident, innovative, NMC registered Midwife with excellent communication skills who is prepared to work flexibly to meet service needs. You will work in conjunction with secondary care providers in Brunei as well as the wider team in the medical centre.
You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of Midwifery care on a rotational basis in order to provide 24 hour cover.
You will be offered opportunities to develop both clinically and professionally within a supportive environment and encouraged to participate in service developments. Supervision and a comprehensive, supportive induction period are provided. The role offers you the opportunity to experience the joy of providing care throughout the pregnancy continuum, benefiting from continuous care with the caseload of patients.
About the team
You will be a member of the SSAFA community health team based in Brunei, working with two full time midwives and the health visiting team, comprising of two health visitors, two health visitor assistants and a Health Visitor Clerk. This role also offers the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely on occasions, depending on the needs of the service.
A valid driving license and the ability to drive a manual car is essential.
About you
You must be a registered midwife with the NMC.
You will be ale to manage and prioritise a caseload successfully, have good time management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and be committed to personal development. You will have a good working knowledge of safeguarding children.
All staff are required to be committed to safeguarding children and adults in conjunction with the local safeguarding children’s board.
Please note a relocation package is not included with this role.
