About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Engagement and Internal Communications Lead to join the People team at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). Reporting to the Director of People and Organisational Development, this role plays a central part in helping our people feel informed, connected and engaged with the College’s mission to improve healthcare for women and girls worldwide.
You will shape and deliver RCOG’s employee engagement approach and internal communications offer, bringing fresh ideas, strong professional insight and a clear focus on listening to our people. Working closely with colleagues across the People and Communications teams, senior leaders, staff networks and our Staff Representative Committee, you will ensure our internal communications are meaningful, inclusive and aligned to our values.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and delivering RCOG’s employee engagement and internal communications plan
Managing and developing internal communications channels and two-way engagement mechanisms
Working with colleagues to share clear, timely and engaging content that connects our employees to our work and celebrates achievements
Leading on an employee engagement survey, feedback mechanisms and action planning
Planning and delivering the College’s annual staff events programme
Championing equality, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing through internal communications and awareness activity

About you
This role is well suited to someone who is passionate about employee engagement and internal communications, enjoys working collaboratively, and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, high-quality work.
Essential requirements:
Significant experience working in internal communications
Experience designing, delivering and evaluating employee engagement or internal communications initiatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and sensitively
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver projects from end to end
A genuine commitment to RCOG’s mission and values
