Job Description
We are currently looking for a HR Apprentice to join our small and busy People Team on a Level 3 apprenticeship for 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will enroll onto a Level 3 HR Support qualification and will spend their apprenticeship working closely with the HR Manager across all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, learning and development and employee relations.
Initially, the role will focus on supporting the HR Manager across a range of HR administrative tasks that are vital to the effective running of our HR team and the organisation. Longer term, as you gain skills and confidence from your studies and on-the-job learning, you will have the opportunity to develop further and take on more projects and responsibility within the remit of the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative support including, but not limited to;
processing contractual paperwork,
onboarding and exit processes
checking and uploading invoices for payment,
ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date
gathering information from employees,
ordering IT equipment
Support with the recruitment processes, including:
coordinate the application process and arrange interviews
providing feedback to candidates
ensure the recruitment system is kept up to date
processing offer paperwork
pre-employment checks
Assist with learning & development administration, including:
booking training for staff
tracking training budgets for staff
Provide ad hoc support as requested by line manager, which may include:
research and project work
support with reward and benefits
support with the delivery of the People Strategy and employee engagement initiatives
PERSON SPECIFICATION
an interest in a career in HR and a commitment to learning and self-development
excellent attention to detail and organisation skills, with the ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team
confident use of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
strong written and verbal communication skills
the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
commitment to and ability to inspire commitment to The Diana Award’s vision, values and mission
commitment to follow The Diana Award’s Safeguarding Policy and processes at all times
Please note, in order to enroll on an apprenticeship scheme, you must have GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade A-C/8-4) and be able to provide evidence of this to the apprenticeship provider.
This role is 30 hours per week and will be London based, and the successful applicant will required to work in the office once or twice per week. The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
