Job Description

About the role

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive to join our small (but mighty) Marketing and Communications team at dxw. You’ll work closely with our Marketing & Comms Manager and Director of Marketing & Comms to help tell the dxw story and showcase our work and its impact to clients, potential clients and industry peers.

You’ll work closely with the sales and wider dxw teams to make sure campaigns align with broader goals, and you’ll monitor the performance of our content using analytics tools, adjusting strategies based on what’s working. Managing our content calendar will be part of your weekly routine, making sure everything is delivered on time and across the right channels.

You’ll be responsible for planning, creating and scheduling engaging content across our platforms, including social media (currently LinkedIn, Instagram and Bluesky). You’ll design visuals and graphics that are in line with our brand guidelines and help bring our projects and values to life.

Writing will be a key part of your role — from sharp, on-brand copy for social posts to longer-form content like newsletters. You’ll also support the planning, promotion and delivery of dxw-hosted and third-party events. From helping with logistics to capturing content on the day, your support will help us run engaging sessions that showcase our people and expertise.

This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a good foundation in marketing who’s ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll be joining a collaborative team, working on meaningful projects that have a positive social impact.

About us

dxw works with the public and third sectors to design and build user-focused services and products that improve lives. We’ve been around since 2008 and have delivered projects that make a real difference — things like helping to reduce reoffending, improving awareness of Adult Social Care and supporting organisations to move away from legacy tech.

We’re employee-owned, and everyone at dxw has a voice in the direction of the company. We value openness, inclusion, and collaboration — with each other, our clients, and the people who use the services we help build.

We’re a remote-first organisation with people based across the UK. Our team keeps in touch regularly through both work and social activities, and we gather in person in our Leeds HQ or London office when we can.

We think it’s important to have diverse teams and are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable environment where everyone can thrive and do their best work. We particularly encourage applications from people who are underrepresented in tech and/or looking for flexible working arrangements..

Everything we work on aligns with our mission, values, and principles. These encompass a fundamental desire for us to look after our and our clients information. We handle clients' information and data with care and confidentiality, and hold ISO27001 certification.

About you

You’re a creative marketing all-rounder with 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role, either in-house or at an agency. You have a solid understanding of how to create content that resonates online, and you’re confident working across a range of formats — from social posts and short videos to email newsletters and event assets.

You’re comfortable using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva, and you can produce high-quality graphics that are visually engaging and on-brand. You understand how to measure the impact of content and use insights to improve future work. You bring strong copywriting skills and can tailor your writing to suit different channels and audiences.

You have a good grasp of major social media platforms and analytics tools, and you stay up to date with trends, tools and best practices in digital marketing. You’re confident managing multiple projects at once and can stay organised while working across different tasks and priorities.

You also bring some basic video editing skills, and ideally have experience using email marketing tools like Mailchimp or Klaviyo. If you’ve got photography or animation experience, or if you’ve worked on paid social campaigns, that’s a definite plus — but not essential.

Most importantly, you’re collaborative, motivated and excited by the opportunity to work in a team that values openness and delivers work with purpose.

Join us

This role is open to candidates based in the UK. You’ll need to be able to travel to our Leeds HQ at least once a week, and occasionally to other parts of the UK to support and attend in-person events.

You can find out more about us, our values and the way we work by visiting our website and reading our playbook.

Please note that because of the nature of our public sector work, all appointments are subject to background checks and applicants must be eligible to work in the UK at the time of application. We’re not currently able to offer visa sponsorship.

If you’d like to know more or have any questions about the role, please get in touch at peopleteam@dxw.com. We’d love to hear from you.
