Job Description

Application process

We use the Applied platform because it is designed to reduce bias in our recruitment process. To apply for this role, please send your up-to-date CV and a motivational cover letter in the same document (one attachment)

Application deadline is 11.59pm BST, 22 October 2023

Please note we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis so please apply early as we may close earlier than this if we find the right candidate.

Why do you want the role? You should clearly explain your motivation for applying for the post and provide specific evidence demonstrating how you meet the required capabilities as detailed in the job description. We will not consider applications without cover letters tailored to this opportunity. This information will be used to decide whether or not to invite you for an interview. Your cover letter should be no longer than two A4 pages.

We kindly ask you not to attach or insert your photograph in your CV or cover letter, nor put your name or surname anywhere in the letter. As part of our commitment to equal opportunities, we have introduced ‘name blind’ recruitment, to help reduce unconscious bias when screening applications. By removing these details from the application, it helps our recruiting team to evaluate people on their skills and experience instead of factors that can lead to unconsciously biased decisions.

Interviews will be held on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of October, with the possibility of a pre-call the week before and a meeting of the team alongside the process.

Please note we are unable to respond to all applications. If you have not heard from us within the three weeks of the closing date, please assume we are not taking your application further.

Equal Opportunities

Forum for the Future wholeheartedly supports the principle of equal opportunities in employment. We promote and support equality, diversity and inclusion both in our own workplace and through our work with our partners and the wider public.  We actively support and promote diversity as an essential component of sustainability, and as a key element of our organisational values.  We oppose all forms of unlawful or unfair discrimination on the grounds of colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, age, disability, caste, religion or belief. We encourage applications from under-represented groups, including those who identify as disabled, LGBTQ, ethnic minorities, and come from diverse social and educational backgrounds.
