At NOLS Rocky Mountain, we are hiring several Summer Seasonal Assistant positions for summer 2024! Choose between the following departments based on your experience and interest: Rations, Noble Hotel, Operations, Kitchen, and Equipment. Keep reading for an overview of each position, and click the position title for details.

Rations Assistant: Join the team that packs bulk food for all Rocky Mountain field expeditions! People who enjoy detail-oriented and repetitive tasks will thrive in this role. We are excited to teach you about the field rationing system, backcountry nutrition, and how we pack food for students and instructors with a variety of special dietary needs. Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Noble Hotel Assistant: Join our Noble Hotel team and be the first person our students meet when they arrive on campus! The Noble Assistant welcomes students as they arrive on campus in the evenings and on weekends. They check students into their sleeping rooms for the night, orient them to the historic Noble Hotel, and help establish and comfortable and inviting atmosphere. This is a unique opportunity for someone who's excited to get out and adventure on their own during the daytime and come to work evenings and weekends. One part-time position is available.

Operations Assistant: Join our operations team to gain hands-on and behind-the-scenes experience. In this position, you'll rotate through an on-call schedule to support the evacuation department with drives and logistics, organize pre- and post-course paperwork, enter information into our database, outfit students getting ready to go into the field, pack food, and more! This position is open to people 21 years or older with a clean driving record. Full-time positions are available.

Kitchen Assistant: Join us in our commercial kitchen as we prepare and serve meals to students and instructors during their in-town days at the start and end of their NOLS course. This position presents the opportunity to work on a team, create meals catered to diverse student needs, learn new cooking techniques, and get creative! Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Equipment Assistant: Curious to learn about the use and function of a variety of outdoor gear? Join the equipment team! We're looking for people eager to use their hands, learn how to maintain and repair gear, and help us set a positive and supportive tone for students getting ready to go into the field. Part-time and full-time positions are available.
