Join Newton Fundamentals (Virtual, 8-Week Program) in March 2026
Applications are now open for our March 2026 cohort (NVP11) of the Newton Fundamentals Program. You can apply in two rounds between October and December 2025 (see details below).
Newton Fundamentals Program helps you make sense of the venture capital ecosystem. This program is for you if:
You’re early on in your venture capital career
You’re serious about exploring a career in venture capital
You’re working in a non-venture capitalist role and would benefit from having a greater understanding of the key concepts

Round 2: Friday, 21 November 2025 - Monday, 15 December 2025
Scholarship applications (apply here) are separate from the program application and open during the program application window (Tuesday, 21 October - Monday, 15 December 2025)

The Opportunity
Learn and develop your skills via a live online program:
Weekly 2-hour and 15-minute sessions over an 8-week period (early evening UK time)
Taught by faculty from London Business School and other leading institutions, and expert practitioners from prominent VC firms and ecosystem partners such as Phoenix Court, Atomico, Octopus Ventures, 20VC, Bessemer Venture Partners, Taylor Wessing and more
Engage in interactive and applied learning exercises, including independent and small-group activities.

Topics you’ll learn about
Throughout the eight-week program, you'll follow the lifecycle of a venture deal: seeing the deal, picking the deal, winning the deal, supporting the deal, and exiting the deal. Within that lifecycle, you'll cover the following topics:

Deal sourcing and evaluation
Market mapping
Venture legals
Chemistry and conviction
Founder support
Venture valuations
Negotiations

Your Role
New to venture capital, early career, operating within the venture capital ecosystem in a non-investor role, or curious about venture capital. You are eager, motivated and willing to learn and develop your skills. You will:
Actively participate in the live sessions held once a week (early evening UK time) and undertake both independent and group activities
Be keen to learn and question your existing perceptions of the venture capital world
Read the resources shared ahead of each module and be ready to provide feedback in live sessions
Become an engaged member of the global Newton Alumni on completion of the program

We focus on potential rather than experience, and we’re looking for people who are keen to have a greater understanding of the key concepts of venture capital. We encourage people from anywhere in the world, both with and without investment experience, to apply for the program, and we’re particularly keen to hear from applicants from overlooked and underestimated backgrounds.

Sessions are held from 6:00 - 8:15 pm UK time (via Zoom)
Cost £2,030 (+ VAT if you are based in the UK)

To reduce barriers to entry, we offer a limited number of scholarships starting from 25% of the program fee, if needed. To apply for a scholarship, please use this link.
Scholarship applications are separate from the program application and do not affect your eligibility. We run a blind application process that is separate from the scholarship process: neither process will impact the other.

Please note that there is a finite amount of scholarship funding available, and applicants should consider alternative forms of funding if possible.
