About you and the role:

The Development Operations Manager will join a collaborative and growth-minded development team and report to the Director of Development. You’ll be in charge of managing and optimizing development operations to ensure data integrity, increase revenue, and steward donors. 

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Oversee systems for prospecting, research, and donor pipelines. Conduct prospect research in support of major and annual giving programs. 

  • Lead data tracking and analysis for the team’s moves management process, and identify and implement technology solutions that support fundraising goals.

  • Provide direct support for frontline fundraising efforts by generating and tailoring queries, lists, and reports into requested formats.

  • Provide administrative help as needed to support the work of other development team members, including generating and fulfilling scheduled development mailings throughout the year, updating giving lists and participation statistics, preparing prospect profiles for donor meetings or communications, tracking proposal and report due dates, etc.

  • Maintain the database, and ensure consistent and accurate data entry and processes. Ensure the security, confidentiality, and accuracy of donor records.

  • Record and process gifts and pledges, and generate acknowledgment and pledge reminder letters.

  • Liaise with the business office to maintain accurate financial records and support the audit process.

Your skills

You’ll be the right person for the job if:

  • You have experience with database management (fundraising software preferred; Raiser’s Edge experience highly desirable).

  • You have a good grasp of general accounting principles. 

  • You have strong computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets.

  • You are analytical, organized, meticulous, with high attention to detail.

  • You are able to work independently and as a member of a team, take initiative, and embrace new challenges as learning opportunities. 

  • You enjoy working in a behind-the-scenes role within a collaborative team environment.
