Tripple is looking for an Investment Associate/Senior Investment Associate, who is excited by the potential to use capital as a force for good, to join our team. Who are we looking for?

You are perfect for this role if you are a values-driven investment professional, driven by understanding and exploring the ways that innovative approaches to business and investment can accelerate clean technologies, natural conservation and renewal, social justice and cohesion, and opportunities for underserved communities. 

The ideal candidate for this role has prior investment experience and is excited to apply these skills investing for impact in a values-driven business and under a multi-asset portfolio.

You bring a strong commercial sensibility, with a mission and values orientation also underpinning your work. You have a good understanding of the spectrum of ESG and Responsible Investing and will be able to assess opportunities based on potential for positive impact as well as negative externalities alongside commercial opportunities and risks.

You are comfortable with financial and market analysis and have a well-developed ability to interrogate commercial opportunities. You are reflective on the thought processes you apply to examining deals and you are always looking to improve both the rigour and efficiency of your analysis. 


Some of the examples of work you'll do in the role:

  • Evaluate opportunities and manage deal pipeline: Perform impact screens and assess new opportunities across all asset classes, including start-ups, VC funds, property, fixed interest and public equities. 

  • Develop investment memos: Evaluate and write up opportunities from both a financial and impact lens, develop recommendations and present these back to the team.

  • Conduct due diligence processes and legals: Dive into Data-Rooms and surface key Opportunities and Risks, Suggest appropriate terms and manage the process for legal documents (terms sheets, loan agreements, subscription agreements, etc.)

  • Process improvement: Analyse and improve methods of assessment, investment and reporting on all dealflow to maximise effectiveness and efficiency

  • Portfolio management: supporting our portfolio companies, honing our follow-on investments and informing our overall portfolio construction. Monitoring and communicating key updates on our portfolio of investments. 

  • Portfolio reporting: overseeing internal reporting on the impact and financial performance of our portfolio companies and portfolio overall. 

  • Research and deep-dives: Up-skill fast on new impact and investment trends, providing points of view where necessary, and providing the team with regular scans of trends and market movements. 

  • Attend relevant events and conferences and develop your own industry networks, representing Tripple in communities and ecosystems that we’re proud to be part of and where we want to promote deal flow.

  • Post key investment updates and announcements to Tripple’s LinkedIn page 

  • Manage our investment process from end-to-end: assessing deals, writing papers, making investment recommendations and leading our Investment Committee meetings. You will be the owner of our deal flow processes and consistently making tweaks and improvements to these processes.

Working at Tripple

This role is full-time (~38 hours/week) with flexible hours. Location is flexible within Australia.
