Job Description

From inspiring people to walk Slow Ways to surveying routes or creating new paths, collaborating with others is at the heart of what we do. We are looking for someone who can help us grow and nurture a large ecosystem of groups, organisations, networks, movements, authorities and governments that share our aims. You will both lead our partnerships strategy and invest time to develop meaningful, effective and symbiotic relationships. 

You will be responsible for:

- Growing our capacity and reach by creating and nurturing relationships with other groups and organisations, including governments 

- Developing and delivering a partnerships and connections growth strategy 

- Designing and project managing initiatives that are developed with partners 

- Creating, maintaining and evaluating a database of our relationships 

- Identifying and generating additional  income streams 

- Key performance indicators that demonstrate the value of our connections 

- Managing reporting to key funders, including the National Lottery 

Desirable skills include your ability to:

- Care for Slow Ways users and future users 

- Remember names 

- Pick up the phone and talk to people

- Manage and grow an effective team 

- Foster high quality relationships with  groups, charities, businesses, local authorities and government departments 

- Maintain numerous high quality relationships at the same time 

- Understand government policy opportunities and be able to respond to them

- Deliver campaigns and initiatives through partnership working 

- Fundraise 

- Manage projects 

- Manage budgets  

- Report to funders 

- Speak another language 

- Think large scale and long term
