Job purpose
To proactively develop and maintain strategic technical partnerships to integrate education and information programmes into existing sport structures for the benefit of young and competitive athletes and athlete support personnel (ASP). This will also include wider prevention programmes for schools, colleges and universities.
Specifically, you will be a member of the Education Team who aims to promote and reinforce a culture of clean sport through effective partnerships. Creating and developing sustainable, impactful programmes that enable athletes and athlete support personnel to participate and compete in line with the values of sport whilst abiding by the anti-doping rules.
Key result areas
Relationship Management
• Develop, maintain and nurture effective positive relationships with key partners in sport (such as YST, BASES, BASEM, UK Coaching, CIMPSA and UK Active) and education (FE/HE) to successfully negotiate the integration of clean sport education and information programmes into existing curriculum and regulatory structures
• Develop, maintain and nurture effective working relationship with members of our Education Delivery Network (EDN), specifically the National Trainers, UK Anti-Doping’s (UKAD’s) contracted remote education workforce
• Lead and manage the Clean Sport Accreditation Scheme for Universities and Colleges
• Proactively create and seek opportunities to establish new partnership agreements with organisations that can assist in supporting the aims of our prevention strategy, managing or overseeing UKAD’s role as defined and agreed
• Develop positive working relationships with other UKAD teams that are required to support technical input or sign-off for programme content and seek ways to further foster these relationships to improve educational outputs
• Proactively support members of the Education team in the development of education programmes and associated resources
• Maintain a high level of customer service balancing partners, sports, UKAD and athletes needs ensuring that it is high quality and evaluated annually to promote continuous improvement
Strategy, Planning and Implementation
• Work with the Head of Education to development annual operating plans, risk register, budgets and objectives that aligns to the strategic objectives of the organisation
• Coordinate the programme and learning resources strategy for the education partnership team, prioritising implementation based on athlete, Athlete Support Personnel (ASP) and partner needs
• Ensure there is a planned and defined monitoring and evaluation process for all relevant education and information programmes which is documented and includes recommendations for continual improvement
• Manage the budget and risks associated with the programme, escalating these to the Head of Education
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management as required.
Programme Leadership and Management
• Lead the development of all education and learning resources for young and competitive athletes, coaches, ASP (including Parents, coaches and medical practitioners) and other core influencers,
• Responsible for the management of associated education programmes and learning resources, including e-learning, web-based information programme for young and competitive athletes and ASP, accreditation schemes and workshops
• Lead and oversee the Clean Sport Accreditation Scheme for Universities and Colleges including overseeing our partnership with British Universities Colleges Sport (BUCS) and Association of Colleges Sport (AoC)
• Technical lead for Clean Sport at the Frontline (CS@FL), UKAD’s annual conference, working in collaboration with the Brand and Events Manager
• Lead the interventions and associated programmes to integrate values-based education into the appropriate areas of the school curricular such as the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE), Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) Sport, A-level and GCSE sports qualifications
• Technically support the Education Programme Manager and/or Officers in the development of training, resources and content for sports partners to use, including designing and managing the process of approval/ equivalency checks
• Support and contribute to the development of ‘white label’ products working with our external supplier to service, Clean Sport Accreditation Scheme, partner programmes and education contracted services where required
Organisational and People Management
• Responsible for the line management of the Education Partnership Officer, including monitoring delivery against objectives, quality standards, personal development, coaching and appraisals

Person specification
Qualifications/experience/knowledge
• Educated to degree level – Education or related degree or post-graduate qualification essential
• Qualified teacher status or equivalent (e.g. experienced coach education trainer)
• Internal/ external verification qualification desirable
• Experience of working within a sports organisation, NGB or similar at middle management level or above
• Experience working in education, or an education related management role in a sport environment
• Demonstrable experience of relationship management to create educational programmes and associated resource development
• Demonstrable experience in creating education programmes, tools and resources to affect behaviour change
• Demonstrable experience of delivering training both direct to the learner and ‘train the trainer’ type delivery
• Experience of leading and managing people (office and remote workers)
• Experience and working knowledge of workforce development, training and quality assurance processes
• Experience of ‘moving others to action’ through guiding, negotiation and influencing
• Knowledge of the sport structure in the UK and the issues faced by high-performance and recreational/amateur sport in relation to anti-doping and drug misuse
• Experience and knowledge of the anti-doping rules and policies, including the technical anti-doping information athletes, athlete support personnel and NGBs require to meet their responsibilities
• Knowledge and/or experience in anti-doping, preferably anti-doping education
• Experienced and confident presenter – stakeholders, conferences,
• media trained (desirable) or willingness to attend media training to be a spokesperson for UKAD

Additional information
Working hours are 36 hours a week although flexibility is required in order to ensure core objectives are achieved. Some out-of-hours work, particularly weekend work, conference calls with International colleagues outside of core work hours, and occasional travel, will be required.
