Our internships are paid, and based in Sydney, Melbourne or Auckland.

Current internship opportunities 

Community intern: 


Blackbird’s community team is looking for an exceptional intern to help us deliver programming and content for our founders and the Australian and New Zealand startup communities. This is not your usual corporate or journalism internship. There’s no coffee runs or photocopying involved, and your ideas, creativity and perspective will count. 

You will have a high-ownership mentality and will have the confidence and abilities to own and run with ideas, delivering on the following areas: 

  • Event coordination, including creating events in Eventbrite and Zoom, updating our calendars and creating event copy 

  • Written communication, blog posts, newsletters and internal communications

  • Social media, including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook 

  • Database and admin management, keeping our systems and tracking up-to-date 

  • Bonus: you’re comfy with Indesign and Photoshop

This is a minimum three-month internship program for current university students or recent university graduates.
