Job Description

Available for university graduates in their first, second or third year of study (for those with an integrated Master’s degree).

Internships aim to provide some valuable on-the-job work experience and a chance to learn a little more about Wellcome and the work that the various teams undertake. As well as work within your own team, you will typically participate in summer volunteering programmes and receive some formal learning on presentation skills so that you can present back what you have learnt with us and others!

Our summer interns are often motivated to apply for our graduate programme when they have completed their studies.

This year the participating teams are: Investments, Policy, Government Relations & Strategic Partnerships, People (HR) and Funding Operations & Governance.

You can apply if you are:

  • a current undergraduate partway through your studies (not in your final year)

  • be available for the entire programme

  • have the right to work in the UK.

You can’t apply if you’ve already completed a Wellcome internship.

Please note:

To avoid bias, your application will be reviewed question by question rather than as one whole application and so you need to ensure that your answers make sense on their own. For example, you will need to avoid saying 'as stated in my previous example'.

Applications close on Friday 26th March
