Job Description
Job title: MRP Controller
Department: Supply Chain
Salary: A competitive salary is available plus great company benefits
Location: Kettering, with a minimum of 4 days a week in the office
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
The Role:
This role will be responsible for supporting the business in realising its ambitious growth plans through the evolution of the Supply Chain through effective business partnering with key stakeholders.
You will be working as a key part of the Supply Chain team based at our Kettering site, working with all departments and cross-functional information routes. The MRP Controller plays a fundamental role in ensuring that production schedules are met by scheduling the necessary raw materials and packaging in a timely manner. The MRP Controller will support the Planning function in executing the daily MRP tasks and working in conjunction with Production Planning to determine the resources necessary to meet the production schedule, as well as ensure timely arrivals of all raw materials and packaging into the factory to avoid operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor inventory levels against forecast and place orders to maintain adequate levels of raw materials and packaging to manufacture the product along with adequate safety stocks.
Monitor deliveries to ensure supplier compliance to delivery schedule – support and optimise activities across LHQ and Kettering in conjunction with Kettering MRP Controller.
Process MRP and ensure timely order placement for all purchase orders.
Checking expected deliveries daily and adjusting the delivery schedule based upon amendments to the production plan.
Supporting the maintenance of the Little Moons MRP tool, escalating, and resolving issues with CHASM and supporting the roll out of the model to Kettering.
Creation of RM part code for new launches and co-ordinating with Production Planning
Provide timely inputs to RM obsolescence control and support the S&OP process
Provide support and cover for other MRP Controllers and Planning Manager.
KPIs
Maintaining adequate stock levels in line with safety stocks targets for Raw Material and Packaging.
Minimising stock outages through effective supplier management.
Maintaining Raw Material Working Capital in line with departmental targets.
Supporting Supply Chain in ensuring customer service level targets are met.
General
To attend any training requirement to assist you in your job role and to comply with industry standards.
To follow all industry standards, company quality standards, technical standards, food hygiene and safety standards and HR policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
3-5 years' experience in FMCG material planning and/or scheduling
Experience with ERP systems e.g., IFS/NAV/Sage/SAP or similar
Knowledge of inventory control and planning, manufacturing processes and materials control.
Ability to work with large amounts of complex data, analyse trends and derive information.
Good IT skills and advanced Excel
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate clearly across multiple levels of the business.
