We’re looking for a Business Operations Manager to take Startmate’s accelerator program to the next level.

Running the accelerator program includes attracting and selecting the best founders in Australia, growing and engaging our mentor network, and managing two cohorts of founders per year across Sydney, Melbourne and San Francisco. It also means connecting, showcasing and growing this community through in-person events.

This is a key role on a small team at the centre of the Australian startup ecosystem. We’re looking for a super operator who can juggle dozens of balls at the same time. We want to work with a curious, humble, interested person who is passionate about leading a wave of change in Australia.

The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for:

• Accelerator operations — owning overall timeline and schedule, running the onboarding process, tracking founder progress, running weekly all-hands, tracking and surfacing key metrics, moderating online founder communities, scheduling and managing trips to San Francisco, scheduling and briefing mentors

• Selection process — tracking applicants, coordinating mentor voting, running Interview Day and related selection events

• Mentor engagement — tracking mentor involvement, developing reports for mentors to track team progress, maintaining mentor skill summaries, matching mentors with founders

• Events — venue and vendor bookings and management, scheduling email marketing, managing RSVP’s, communicating with attendees, engaging + leading event partners, preparing and running the show
