YOUR ROLE AT LUNA
We are looking for a tax accountant who is responsible for providing high-quality client delivery work, all while hitting quarterly revenue targets and output points.
Client Delivery Work: Provide high-quality end-to-end accounting support, with a focus on tax compliance for all Luna clients. This includes:
Annual financial reporting and tax compliance for companies (and occasionally their founders and family trusts).
Maximising opportunities for tax offsets.
Advising on restructures, capital raises and business sales.
BAS: Oversee and manage process for how BAS are lodged and reviewed for Launch.
Income Tax: Oversee and manage process for how income tax returns are lodged and reviewed for Launch clients.
Learning: Find learning opportunities to continue to develop client management skills and technical expertise.
Hit Targets: Hit individual quarterly revenue & BD targets
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Are based in Melbourne, Sydney or Byron
Are eligible to work in Australia
Have 7-10 years of experience in an accounting or consulting environment (for example, manager or above in a chartered environment or industry based equivalent).
Have at least 2 years experience providing business advisory services (e.g. tax returns & tax advice) with a particular focus on company income tax returns (small to medium sized enterprises).
Eligible for tax agent registration within 6 months of commencement.
Has completed CAANZ or CPA qualification.
Experience preparing and lodging BAS and IAS.
Know your way around Xero, including payroll and reporting features.
Are organised and with a proven ability to manage multiple clients at a time.
Has necessary professional or academic requirements to gain Tax Agent Registration with the Tax Practitioners Board.
It would be an added bonus if you have any of the following in your toolkit:
Understand the basics of bookkeeping and payroll.
Have worked with G-suite and Google products, Hubspot, Dext, Asana and Slack.
Have experience advising across a suite of startup needs.
Business development and /or sales experience.
You are a certified BAS agent.
You have experience collaborating with lawyers or tax advisors to deliver outcomes for clients.
Has current membership with The Tax Institute.
